    Records will be challenged again across Arizona through the weekend as strong high pressure dominates the weather pattern. Metro Phoenix highs will be in the mid to upper 80s each afternoon, with Sunday being the warmest day of the next seven. By next Tuesday, a strong trough of low pressure tracking from the Pacific Northwest will head towards the Great Basin and change Arizona's weather pattern. On Monday afternoon, southwesterly winds will become gusty across the state, then a cooler air mass will filter in on Tuesday. A few sprinkles can't be ruled out around the Valley Monday evening, with a few showers possible north of I-40 in Northern Arizona. Daytime highs around the Valley will drop from the mid 80s Monday, to the mid 70s Tuesday. Highs in the 70s will remain in the forecast through the rest of the work week. With the exception of clouds and sprinkles Monday evening, skies should be mostly to partly sunny. In Phoenix, look for a high of 86 Friday, 87 Saturday, 88 Sunday, 85 Monday and 74 Tuesday.
